The current owners have made significant improvements and alterations to the property and as a result it was shortlisted for the Sussex Heritage Trust Awards, which recognises the highest quality conservation, restoration and design of newly built projects whilst encouraging the use of traditional skills and crafts.

The internal accommodation is beautifully presented and features a wealth of bespoke oak joinery including hardwood sealed unit windows, underfloor heating to the kitchen, dining room and all bathrooms and fibre to the premises.

Reception rooms comprise a south facing sitting room with Hwam wood burning stove and two sets of French doors to the terrace and gardens and off the kitchen, a formal dining room situated within one of the roundels with limestone flooring and a triple aspect. There is also a study with fitted shelves and doors to the garden.

The roundel kitchen is bespoke fitted by Rencraft Kitchens, with oak cupboards and a hand painted central island, all with granite work surfaces. Appliances comprise an electric two oven Aga, an two ring electric hob and integral dishwasher.
There is a separate utility room, fitted to match the kitchen with space for a washing machine and tumble dryer.

A custom-made curved oak staircase leads to the first floor where there are four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two shower rooms, three being en suite. They include the principal bedroom which is well proportioned and has a door to a balcony and the guest bedroom two, situated in one of the roundels with a staircase that leads up to a luxuriously appointed bathroom and walk through shower. All of the bath and shower rooms are stylishly finished with contemporary sanitary ware.

Swiftsden Farm Oast is approached via a long shared private lane over which it has a right of way. Gates open to the gravel drive with parking for a number of cars and access to a detached double garage with adjoining studio/home office.

The surrounding gardens are delightful, designed by Chelsea Gold medallist, Jo Thompson they incorporate an intimate paved south facing terrace overlooking an exotic-style garden with box hedging, banana plants, canna lilies and dahlias. To the west the sloping garden features a wonderful wild flower meadow area, planted with array of grasses and native flowers, a haven for bees and wildlife.
