History
The property is a Grade II listed stone under slate house which dates back to the 18th century. It has a symmetrical façade typical of its era. The current owners have lived here for 15 years and have maintained the character of the property. Original features include exposed beams to ceilings and walls, ceiling roses, cornices, doors, flagstone floors, wood floors and casement leaded light windows, some with panelled shutters. Other features throughout the house include cast iron radiators and servants’ bells to some rooms. There is a well inside the house and also one in the garden.

Kitchen/Breakfast room
The kitchen/breakfast room has flagstone flooring and exposed ceiling beams. It is fitted with a range of base and wall mounted wood units, with granite worksurfaces and a butler sink, along with a built-in dresser. A stone inglenook with a beam over has an ornamental range cooker and there are built-in cupboards on either side with wooden latched doors. Gardens and Grounds
An extensive garden, to the side of the driveway, is predominately laid to lawn and enclosed by walls and hedging. It has an orchard area with apple and cherry trees and there is also a well. It includes an outbuilding which has several storage areas, two of which are former stables. On the other side of the driveway is a lawned area with shrub and flower beds. The rear garden is private and not overlooked. It can also be accessed from the driveway via a stone archway leading to a covered walkway with a wrought iron gate. About Moulton
Moulton is a large village in West Northamptonshire. It has a church, Methodist Chapel, theatre, GP surgery, chemist, library, supermarket, general store, post office, petrol station and public houses. Wider town amenities are available in Northampton, which is about 6 miles away, including shops, bars and restaurants, theatre, cinema and other leisure activities. For commuters there is access to the A43 and A45 ring roads which link to A14 (M6) and M1 Junction 15 respectively and mainline train services from Northampton to London Euston taking 59 minutes.
