We bought the bungalow as we were looking to develop a project and we felt the property was in an ideal location. So, we have extended and refurbished the house incorporating new plumbing and electrics and, if new owners would like to develop the property further, there is existing planning permission available to create a wraparound extension. It is great being so near the ferry and the beach while the Fishbourne pub is ideal if you want a meal out but don't want to drive. Indeed, we would like to move within the same area as we particularly like the location but are looking for something larger.

We are only a short distance from the fascinating town of Ryde with its quirky mix of Victorian architecture and traditional seaside entertainment. It includes a wide selection of independent shops, a plethora of bars, cafes and restaurants and, unlike some places on the island, it is a hive of activity all year round with a variety of events from the Classic Car Show and the August Bank Holiday scooter show to a selection of concerts. There are a number of great beaches around Ryde but Appley beach is stunning with long stretches of sand bordered by the park that includes Appley Tower and a playground for young children. There are also excellent educational facilities with both private and state schools available.
