We purchased Upstairs at The Lawn five years ago as our holiday home and subsequently we were also able to purchase the ground floor apartment as well. Over the years we have restored the fabric of the building, revamped the inside and continued to use the top apartment as our holiday retreat and rent out the Downstairs at The Lawn, so there is always the possibility of generating some income or, indeed, purchasing the property as an investment and renting out both apartments as holiday lets. However, if someone would like to turn it back into a large family home this would be quite easy to do. We still love the area and this property will always have a special place in our hearts, but it is time for us to find a new project.
The location is delightful as it is quite close to the high street and very near the superb Royal Hotel and St Boniface Downs. This is owned by the National Trust and is an area of Special Scientific Interest and offers wonderful places to go for a country walk. It is named after the 8th century St Boniface who is believed to have preached in Bonchurch at Pulpit Rock.
Ventnor is a charming town and became one of the more famous seaside resorts during Victorian times when Queen Victoria frequented Osborne House as she liked its unique micro-climate. The town has a delightful seafront with a traditional bandstand and great walks along the sea wall and beside the gorgeous Cascade Gardens.Room sizes:
