I have lived on Goldsmith Road in Leyton for the past twenty years which in itself tells me how great a place it is that I haven't decided to move before now!
During this time I have seen a lot of changes for the better, restaurants such as the Italian kitchen on Leyton High road is a great place to eat, in the summer sit outside on the pavement and people watch the hustle and bustle on the High Road.
Leyton technical is also a good place to chat and relax over a drink, and I will especially miss the quiz nights on a Wednesday which is great fun!
A short walk to Leyton tube Station and one stop takes me to Stratford where I can indulge in retail therapy at Westfield shopping centre.
The Olympic Park is also great for walking off the excessive calories I have consumed at the many varied restaurants at the centre.
Living in Goldsmith road I have gotten to know my lovely neighbours who are a very caring bunch and always happy to help out or a source of advice when needed.
I have happy memories of my 4 year old nephew Theo, on my shoulders picking apples in my garden and later having a very big adventure playing on the pirate ship in Jubilee Park which is a short walk from us.
I have fond memories of living at Goldsmith Road and I can only recommend this area to anyone thinking of living in this area of East London.
