Located on the cusp of the Wye Valley National Park, this charming cottage is set in a picturesque location allowing for fantastic views over open fields and boasting around a third of an acre plot with extensive tiered gardens and a small wooded area to be enjoyed.

This quaint semi-detached property is believed to have been built in the early 20th century and was once a mine supervisors cottage and offers accommodation comprising living room, dining room, kitchen and conservatory to the ground floor with there are two bedrooms and a bathroom to the first floor. Due to the size of the plot, there is also scope to potentially extended the property, subject to consent, as well as ample off-road parking available.

Woodcroft is a small village in the Forest of Dean district of Gloucestershire, England. It is located on in an elevated position above the eastern bank of the River Wye, two miles north of the Welsh town of Chepstow. The village straddles the boundary of the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', and Offas Dyke path, a long-distance footpath following the Wales-England border which is one of Britain's National Trails offering amazing opportunities to observe a wealth of native wildlife. Another local attraction is Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust's Lancaut Nature Reserve. The reserve provides important nesting habitat for peregrine falcons that enjoy commanding views over the Wye Valley.

Upon entering the property, to the ground floor, leading off the entrance hall there are two reception rooms both of which boast large windows enjoying views over the surrounding fields.

To the right there is a living room with a warming open fireplace and an under stairs nook with doors leading to the conservatory. To the left there is a similarly proportioned dining room that folds through to the kitchen area which offers a range of wall and base units with working surfaces over and a peninsular. The kitchen also has some exposed wooden beams to the ceiling and a window from the sink looking towards the gardens. Leading off from the kitchen the conservatory can be also be accessed, acting as a further reception or dining space and enjoys views up toward the rear gardens.

On the first floor, there are two bedrooms, both of which are a good size and enjoy amazing views over the surrounding countryside plus a bathroom with a bath suite and separate shower unit.

Outside - The property is accessed via a gated driveway allowing parking for several cars to the side of the property. There is a small patio area with steps leading up to the tiered gardens beyond, which were once used as a wonderful space for a range of raised vegetable beds. In total the plot is around a third of an acre and to the top of the garden, there is a sprawling wooded area, which is perfect for pets and/or children to play. The property also offers direct access from the rear of the garden onto the Offa's Dyke Foot Path, where you can enjoy superb views across the Wye Valley and surrounding cliffs.

The nearby town of Chepstow is situated on the tidal river Wye and falls within the Welsh county of Monmouthshire, adjoining the border of Gloucestershire in England. The town is also home to what is considered to be the oldest surviving stone castle which is situated on the clifftop above the river overlooking the historic cast iron Wye Bridge built in 1816. Facilities include restaurants, pubs, wine bars, doctors, dentists, leisure facilities, primary and senior schools, local boutiques and national stores. The town has a train station and excellent road links providing access to Bristol, Gloucester, Newport and Cardiff.
