Location

Blue Horizon occupies a sensational setting above Laxey Bay with panoramic views over the sea, Clay Head and the harbour, literally 180 degree views.
Laxey lies on the east coast of the Island and about 8.5 miles to the north of the Island’s capital Douglas where the port handles the Isle of Man ferries from Liverpool and Heysham. The airport is 14 miles to the south and flights to Manchester, Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London City Airports are very regular and are all less than 60 minutes approximately.
The village sits astride the Laxey River and is home to the largest working water wheel in the world. The river runs into the harbour with its sailing club and a sheltered bay alongside a long sandy beach.
There are a number of shops providing for most day to day requirements, restaurants, hotels and bistros with more comprehensive shopping and recreational facilities in the island’s principal towns of Douglas and Ramsey which are about equidistant.
The Isle of Man is a British Crown Dependency, situated equidistant between England and Ireland in the Irish Sea.
