A charming Grade II listed cottage, with a striking contemporary extension.

Description

A pretty thatched cob and stone cottage, to which the current owners have added an impressive contemporary extension, providing a spacious open-plan kitchen/living room, with vaulted ceilings and bi-fold doors opening on to the terrace and garden. The newly fitted kitchen has Shaker-style units and integrated appliances, including an instant boiling water tap. An adjacent utility room has an integrated dishwasher and washing machine/tumble dryer and leads through to a cloakroom.

Connecting the original cottage with the extension is a rear hall, with a striking floor-to-ceiling ‘picture’ window of over 7ft in width and 6ft in height, which overlooks the garden. The principal bedroom has the benefit of a walk-in wardrobe, with the potential (with relevant consents) to create an en suite shower room. The family bathroom has a free-standing, roll-top, slipper bath and separate rainfall-shower. Completing the accommodation are two further double bedrooms and a snug with fitted shelving and a walk-in cupboard, with an original brick floor.

Outside
The cottage has pretty gardens, which are laid mainly to lawn and enclosed with mixed hedging. A traditional flagstone path leads to the front door. There is off-road parking for several cars.
