History and Heritage
The property dates back to the Georgian period and was significantly extended in Victorian times. It has been the subject of a comprehensive restoration and conversion project which is scheduled to feature in George Clarkes Remarkable Renovations on Channel 4 next year. The renovation included complete electrical rewiring and replumbing and a new heating system. A damp course was installed on the ground floor, ceilings were replaced, all the internal walls have been replastered, and all the windows have been professionally restored and repaired. There is planning permission in place to replace the former shop windows at the front with Georgian sash windows to mirror the windows on the first floor.
