There is a church, St. Lukes, and an Inn called The Exmoor Forest Hotel . Simonsbath is the village where Exmoor, as we know it today, really began in the 19th century. Before that, the area was a Royal Forest, used mainly by the arisocracy for stag hunting.Nowadays the village is known for its great walking and magnificent scenery, notably around the River Barle and across the high moors which surround it. The last 2 photos are taken from the road from Simonsbath to Lynton & Lynmouth.
