An immaculately presented four-bedroom former farmhouse circa 1800 with an additional self-contained one-bedroom cottage, which is currently being used as a holiday let. Set in 0.8 acres, and with several stone outbuildings, this delightful property would make the perfect countryside residence.

The well-appointed property benefits from a new boiler fitted in August 2020 with complete underfloor system overhaul, and new windows fitted to the front of the house in October 2021. The accommodation briefly comprises: Entrance Hall, Lounge with multi-fuel burner, a 37' long bespoke/handmade Kitchen/Dining Room with a striking vaulted ceiling and inglenook fireplace with wood burner, a Boot Room, a second Reception Room currently being used as a Games Room, a Utility Room and Wet Room on the ground floor. Stairs lead up to the first floor to a Family Shower Room and two Double Bedrooms, one of which is a Master Suite with a sitting area, a walk-in wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom with a luxurious roll-top bath. The second Bedroom sits across the landing and boasts a sizable storage room to one side. The stairs continue to the second floor with a further two double Bedrooms one of which is en-suite.

The cottage is open plan in design with the Living, Kitchen, and Dining Areas on the ground floor. A beautiful stone-feature fireplace with wood burning stove stretches all the way up to the striking vaulted ceiling. Stairs lead up to a Galleried Bedroom with an En-Suite Bathroom on the mezzanine floor. The cottage also benefits from a new boiler fitted in August 2020. Externally there is parking and a private, secluded garden and patio.

The house sits within 0.8 acres of land, and is nestled into the Carmarthenshire countryside. The gardens have been extensively landscaped and there is also a very productive vegetable and fruit garden, with a greenhouse and a former Barn that is currently being utilised as a garage and workshop dou

Location - The property is situated between the ancient township of Laugharne and the village of Pendine with its miles of sandy beaches. The town of Laugharne sits on the estuary of the River Taf, is most famous for being the home of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas from 1949 until his death in 1953 and is thought to have been the inspiration for the fictional town Llareggub in 'Under Milk Wood'. The town is full of charm and character boasting independent shops and pubs as well as beautiful walks and views. Centrally the town boasts a castle which so far has been dated back to the 13th Century but may yet prove older. The town has a bilingual primary school and is within 13 miles of the county town of Carmarthen and approximately 4 miles from St Clears and the transport links to the A40. Laugharne really needs to be seen to appreciate the beauty and tranquillity of this picturesque village.

We Say... - An immaculately presented four-bedroom former farmhouse circa 1800 with an additional self-contained one-bedroom cottage, which is currently being used as a holiday let. The gardens have been extensively landscaped with a very productive vegetable and fruit garden, including a greenhouse and a former Barn which is currently being utilised as a double garage and a workshop. The Barn provides an opportunity to convert to holiday lets or residential accommodation (subject to the necessary planning consents). The property is set within 0.8 acres and nestled into the tranquil Carmarthenshire countryside; with several stone outbuildings and a desirable rural setting, this delightful property would make the perfect countryside residence.

The Owners Say... - We were first attracted to the lifestyle King Gaddle could offer us and our family and we were not disappointed! The open plan Kitchen/Diner is great for entertaining guests and the rest of the house has great character and a lovely flow. Developing the Holiday Cottage to provide an additional income, along with being a labour of love is something we are very proud of, especially when we read the feedback we have received from our guests. Although the grounds are just over 3/4 acre, the landscaping makes it feel much larger when walking between the "garden rooms" created, including a productive fruit and vegetable garden, wildflower meadow along with natural and ornamental ponds which also attracts an abundance of wildlife. It is with a heavy heart that we must leave our beautiful home but, sadly our circumstances have changed.

Come On In... - The beautifully-appointed accommodation, set over 3 floors, briefly comprises: Entrance Hall and Lounge with multi-fuel burner. On the other side of the hall there is a second Reception Room which is currently being used as a Games Room. The 37' long bespoke/handmade Kitchen and Dining Room has a striking vaulted ceiling and inglenook fireplace and is the perfect entertaining space, undoubtedly the heart of the home. A Boot Room to one side of the Kitchen and a Shower Room and Utility on the other completes the ground floor.

Stairs lead up to the first floor and to a family Shower Room with beautiful heritage sanitary ware and two double Bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is a Master Suite with a sitting area, a walk-in wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom with a luxurious roll-top bath. The second Bedroom sits across the landing and boasts a sizable storage room to one side. The stairs continue to the second floor with an additional two double Bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom with beautiful heritage sanitary ware, giving a nod to the history of the building.

The attached cottage is open plan in design with the Living, Kitchen, and Dining areas on the ground floor. A beautiful stone feature fireplace with wood burning stove stretches all the way up to the striking vaulted ceiling. Stairs lead up to a galleried Bedroom with an en-suite Bathroom on the mezzanine floor. Externally there is parking and a private, secluded garden and patio

Step Outside... - The gated entrance to King Gaddle leads you onto the driveway, with the house, cottage and outbuildings situated around the edge. The driveway provides ample parking for numerous vehicles and there are two garages within the former barn. The property is positioned within 0.8 of an acre with beautifully well-maintained gardens, including a fenced and gated wildflower meadow, all bordered by various mature trees and shrubs. The garden has a raised paved patio and barbeque area leading out from the kitchen and this sits within the perfectly structured landscaped sections. The garden is divided into different areas with fruit trees and bushes, two ornamental ponds, a greenhouse, and a fantastic vegetable garden. As well as lawned areas, there is great storage to be found within the old pigsty, this is truly a gardener's paradise!

King Gaddle House - King Gaddle House is indeed an interesting detached Country house nestling in a private secluded location, steeped in history with an adjoining cottage that has been utilised as a holiday let. The properties are beautifully presented and offer spacious accommodation. King Gaddle house is positioned within approximately 3/4 of an acre of well maintained grounds to include stone outbuildings, one of which could be ideal for further accommodation subject to the necessary planning and building regulations. Viewing is highly recommended to appreciate this delightful family home.
