The river is deep for keel boats. Darthaven Marina is in Kingswear, next to the Royal Dart Yacht Club which offers racing and a lively social scene, both easily accessible on the lower ferry. Totnes (8 miles) is at the head of the tidal part of the River Dart. It is a bustling market town, full of interest, colour and character that stems from a rich cultural and historical heritage.
