Description

Den Farmhouse lies within Wood Green just to the north of Shalstone. As a result, it commands a rural setting with lovely views to the west over farmland.

Whilst the house is of modern construction, being originally built in 1960s, the use of dressed, period/weathered stone, sourced locally, means the house has a much more traditional/older appearance. The current owners have carried out an extensive modernisation programme thus introducing much more modern, finishes throughout with attention to detail. In particular these improvements include double glazing throughout, radiators plus under floor heating in part, Amdega conservatory and glazed bay window in the kitchen/ breakfast room, quality internal doors and door furniture, a sound system and laminated wooden flooring. More importantly is the bespoke kitchen and breakfast room with white base and eye level units, granite work surfaces, four ring halogen hob, integrated Bosch microwave and Neff oven. White bathroom suites and built in bedroom furniture further complement the finishes.

The current owners created a home office by combining two reception rooms, so whilst ideal for working from home with a separate entrance via the utility room, this space could be re-altered to create a study and play room.

Externally level garden wrap around the house and are predominately laid to lawn. As a result, there is ample space for families, children and summer entertaining.

A shingle driveway leads to the front of the house and turning circle providing ample parking and access to the garaging beyond with 2 open bays and single lock up garage, ideal for the car enthusiast.. Enclosed vegetable garden and two greenhouses further compliment the gardens. Beyond is an implement store with light and power connected.

For equestrian pursuits there is a range of timber stabling comprising three stables with light and power connected. Grazing laid out in two paddocks lie to the west and north.

Key attributes to highlight include high level of decoration, generous ceiling heights, plenty of natural light, a rural setting providing space and privacy, rural views, attention to detail, a real feeling of space, good storage throughout and a well fitted home office. Very much the rural life with modern trappings.
