Beautifully appointed and strategically placed, this detached house has much to offer to its next occupier.

The elegant and comfortable accommodation consists of an entrance vestibule opening into entrance hall with an impressive galleried landing. The adjacent cloakroom has a white suite of low level WC and wash hand basin and there is a useful understairs storage cupboard. The triple aspect sitting room has a log burner in a handsome stone feature fireplace and double French doors onto the rear garden. Double doors open into a spacious dining room, the perfect size for entertaining. The study/snug has a fitted bookcase and the room enjoys the morning sun. The excellent sized kitchen/breakfast room has a super range of pale wood units comprising base cupboards and drawers beneath granite worktops, matching wall cupboards, an integrated Neff oven, gas hob with cooker hood above, dishwasher and tall fridge. Again there are French doors leading into the rear garden which makes the most of the afternoon sun. The adjoining utility room includes a tumble dryer and integrated automatic washing machine.

At first floor level, the attractive galleried landing has a window to the front but continues with the open feel of the house. The master bedroom has an en suite dressing area with his and hers fitted double wardrobes and an en suite shower room with a large walk in shower. The guest/second bedroom also has an en suite shower room. Bedrooms three and four are doubles and the fifth bedroom is currently used as a useful dressing room. The family bathroom has a white suite with a bath and separate shower.

The pretty front garden is laid to lawn with a maturing hedge of a variety of evergreen shrubs. Remotely controlled gates to the rear of the property open onto a long drive with access to the attached double garage – again with remotely operated door. The remainder of the rear garden is laid to two small lawns and well stocked borders of trees and shrubs including palm trees and bamboo. There is a central water feature surrounded by alpine plants and a bespoke summerhouse nestles in the far corner.

The house benefits from a Genvex Optima 250 heat exchanger which filters fresh air into all the rooms and bathrooms.

Tetbury, often referred to as the gateway to the Cotswolds, and once voted by Country Life magazine as the third most desirable town in the country, is a thriving historic Cotswold market town situated less than half an hour from both the M4 and M5 motorways and within easy reach of Cirencester, Cheltenham, Bath, Bristol and Swindon. There is good access to Kemble Railway Station with regular Intercity services to London and other regional commercial centres.

Tetbury is well known for its royal houses with HRH The Prince of Wales at Highgrove House, and Gatcombe Park the home of The Princess Royal both close by. Tetbury boasts an exciting range of shops including specialist boutiques, city standard delicatessens, the Highgrove Shop, two supermarkets and many fine antique shops. The town has an excellent variety of hotels, restaurants, cafes and brasseries offering a mouth-watering range of cuisine.

There is an excellent range of schools in the area including Westonbirt Preparatory and Senior Schools (3 – 18 years). There is also Beaudesert Park at Minchinhampton together with popular state primary and secondary schools in and around Tetbury.

A visit to the Tourist Information Office will provide you with a map of the area showing some of our local attractions including the world famous Westonbirt Arboretum, or the nearby Cotswold Water Park or perhaps the Abbey and Abbey House Gardens in Malmesbury.
