Originally built in the 1920s this property was one of the first houses to grace the prestigious Hawksdown Estate. It has been lovingly and sensitively renovated to an extremely high standard by the current owner and is now a warm and welcoming family home, fit for the ultimate in 21st century living. Set well back from the lane the house is approached via electric wooden gates and a wide driveway leading to the double garage, providing off road parking for about six cars. As you turn in through the gates the first things you notice are the attractive original this property and multi-pane sash windows along the front of the house. The refurbished parquet flooring flows through from the reception hall to the charming snug/study with its log burning stove and the elegant drawing room with its original fire surround and new inset cast iron fireplace. There is a glazed Portcullis window to the garden room with its plethora of windows and French doors on three sides. The impressive light and bright kitchen/dining room includes engineered oak flooring, full height windows and French doors on two sides in the dining area and a large central island with an induction hob and bespoke mussel units housing a variety of new appliances and an adjacent fitted utility room with access to the courtyard. The spacious first floor galleried landing leads to a family shower room, cloakroom and three double bedrooms including the delightful master with a stunning bespoke bathroom. On the second floor there are three rooms with vaulted ceilings and Velux windows offering flexible accommodation and a shower room. The large garden has been redesigned to be easy to manage. There are well-manicured lawns, an impressive bespoke pergola, an outdoor entertaining area and large raised beds as well as trees, shrubs and flower borders, a potting shed and log store.

What the Owner says:
“I bought this property in 2017, falling in love with it at first sight. I know Deal well, and wanted to return to live here again as I love the area. The previous owners had lived here for about 20 years and both the house and the garden needed fully renovating. The last 3 years have seen me fully remodel the garden, wanting to have areas for seating and socializing and quiet corners for reflection and a cup of tea! With the house, I wanted to keep the character of the original house as much as possible and add in more modern elements. As a result, I had the garden room rebuilt (installing solar panels above) and extended the kitchen to create a large kitchen/diner. It was important to me to have ‘flow' so that socializing could be formal or informal and include the garden in the warmer months. The house has been fully re-wired and has new plumbing and heating system and totally re-plastered. It's a pleasure to live here, the Hawksdown Estate is very private and secure. This property is lovely to come home to, and I'll very much miss living here”
