Residents share tables and lunch is a big social event. At Christmas and Easter the chef provides a special festive menu with additional courses. If you are unwell the staff will bring a meal to your apartment.
Communal Laundry Room - On the lowest level. This contains 4 automatic washing machines (Miele & Bosch) and dryers which are free to use (you supply your own washing powder). There is also an iron & ironing board. This is a really fantastic facility.
Communal Guest Suite - This is available for friends and family. It contains twin beds and an en-suite shower, with tea & coffee facilities. You need to book. Rates are very reasonable.
Communal Garden - With terrace and wooden benches to enjoy the English summer!
Activities - Weekly film viewings in the TV room
Weekly activities in house such as carpet bowls, gentle exercise classes, bingo and guest lectures.
Organised trips to the theatre, musicals or coach tours to places of interest.
Many of the residents club together to share a taxi into Gravesend or Bluewater.
Gravesend train station provides fast trains to London or the coast.
Buses are available locally to Bluewater, Dartford, Meopham, Longfield & Sevenoaks.
Security - There is a secure entry system so that visitors have to call the apartment they are visiting and speak to the resident before being buzzed in. Residents have their own key fob to facilitate entry.
