Used as a home for the past three years and benefitting from huge internal space with full standing height in the main living area. "Brandy Lass" has a large rear cabin with double bed and built-in side storage, chest of drawers and wardrobe. In the galley there is a full-sized gas cooker and mains electric fridge/freezer, full-sized sink and ample work surface.
The main cabin is approximately 16ft x 16ft fitted with an L shaped sofa, a dining table that seats five/six people and a cast iron solid fuel heater. Ahead of this are two evenly sized rooms one being used as a sail locker and one comprising of a Blakes sea toilet and sink. At the front is a largely untouched V berth which can sleep two people. Internally this boat is generally in great condition, lots of windows which makes it bright and airy. The boat is very clean and tidy, as you can see from the photos. "Brandy Lass" is located in Ocean Quay Marina on a full liveaboard mooring. It is less than a mile from the centre of Southampton, ideal as a liveaboard, holiday home or could be used as an Airbnb.
The cost of the moorings are £458.86 per month (discounts available for paying a year up front).
Previously "Brandy Lass" was used as a blue water sailing yacht and has been to many far flung regions, it has twin masts with stainless steel rigging and seven sails in good condition.
The boat is fitted with a 4-cylinder Ford Sabre sea scout diesel engine. When the current owner purchased the boat they sailed her back from Plymouth to Southampton, since then the engine hasn't been run (three years). The engine would need to be rewired and steering position re-installed to take her back out to sea.
"Brandy Lass" was built to a French design in 1980 from a very strong steel reinforced ferro hull by boat builders Potter and Bishop and was fitted out at Mashfords shipbuilding yard in Torpoint. Original construction photos with lots of receipts are available to see.
