Barge Maria is a beautiful Dutch Barge built-in 1929. She was fully renovated by architect Roderick James to preserve the historic atmosphere but also to create a contemporary feel with sunlit rooms. This is achieved by the large glazed roof over the middle part of the boat together with the white painted wooden panelling of the walls. There is a large open plan living room with a wood-burning stove, a contemporary kitchen with concrete worktops, master bedroom with en-suite bathroom plus a second bedroom and shower room. The aft Captains cabin has one double bed and one single bed, galley and living area and has been left in its original state. Maria has her original engine. When out cruising a diesel generator onboard provides all the electricity.
