This bungalow perched right on the coast is not what it seems because the four bedroom home has a 1800s railway carriage at its centre.
Called Tulip, the carriage is decked out with brass luggage racks, attendants’ call buttons and wood panelling.
The carriage was built in 1897 in Delaware, America. It was commissioned by Folkestone Railway and is the only one that came to England, where it was in active service until 1914.
In 1930 it was sold and moved to Selsey’s seafront. The current owner restored it to its former glory.
The property near Pagham in West Sussex, has rural views to the rear and panoramic coastal vistas at the front.
