It could be justifiably argued that Shenfield is the best commuter town not just in Essex but in any of the home counties. Where else can you get on a train in the heart of the City of London at Liverpool Street and step off in a leafy suburb just 22 minutes later? And what’s more, the town’s popularity will be further enhanced by Crossrail will have Shenfield as its eastern ‘hub’. If you need to travel by other means, Shenfield is no less convenient. A few miles down the A12 will see you at J28 of the M25. It’s not just the abundance of stunning properties that attract families. There are excellent state and private schools including St Martins, Brentwood School and Herrington House Prep school. Along Hutton Road, you’ll find well known stores along with many bijoux shops, bars and restaurants. The adjoining town of Brentwood has a wider range of national high street names.
