    Cramlington enjoys an abundance of open space, with several parks locally including Alexandra Park, which has football pitches, tennis courts, a children's play area and a skatepark, and Seven Oaks Park, which provides a backdrop to public events. Plessey Woods Country Park, Bedlington Country Park and Weetslade Country Park are home to a multitude of wildlife and are all around three miles from the development. The A1 for Berwick upon Tweed and Edinburgh to the north, Newcastle, Durham, Darlington and York to the south; the A19 for Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Thirsk and Doncaster, and the A189 for Newcastle, Gateshead and the Northumberland coast, can all be reached in around five minutes by car. Newcastle Airport is 11 miles away via the A1.

    Shopping locally is focused around Manor Walks and the adjacent retail park, with a good selection of high-street and independent stores, niche retailers and food shops, as well as a multi-screen cinema and leisure centre. Slightly further afield Silverlink Shopping Park offers a range of chain stores, restaurants and cafes, while Newcastle city centre, nine miles away, and the Metrocentre in Gateshead, attract shoppers from across the region.
