Laxfield is a beautiful Village in the heart of the Suffolk countryside that is half-way between the market towns of Halesworth and Framlingham, just 40 minutes' drive from the coast at Southwold or Aldeburgh. It has a population of more than 800, consisting of a mix of long established families and many who have moved into the area.

Just off the main road, called The Street, there are the school and pre-school, the village hall and the Baptist chapel. In the centre, near the wonderful All Saints Church and the historic Guildhall are a thriving modern Co-op store with a post office and two handsome pubs.

Many small businesses thrive and many residents commute to surrounding towns or even to London for work. It is a village community, with a wide range of activities, making Laxfield attractive to all ages from the pre-school group to the sheltered housing residents of Hartismere House.

Laxfield also has one of the largest (eight-acre) playing fields in Suffolk which plays host to much sporting activity including cricket, football and bowls with an excellent children's play area with a wide range of new equipment.

    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
