The spacious accommodation includes a stunning reception hall, with a flowing central staircase and good quality wooden flooring. Leading off the hallway, through double doors, is the dual-aspect living room with French doors to the surrounding gardens and an attractive feature fireplace.

Across the reception hall, is the large family kitchen, with a good selection of wall and base storage cupboards,, including a bespoke dressing unit, and an adjoining utility room, with access to the gardens.

There are three further reception rooms, offering a variety of uses, one currently used as a working study, the second room as a snug/TV room, and the final reception ideal as a formal dining room.

To the first floor, the impressive galleried landing leading though to the spacious master bedroom, with good-size en-suite facilities. There are further en-suite facilities found in the second double bedroom, with the remaining three double bedrooms serviced by a large family bathroom.

Externally, the surrounding gardens are predominately laid to lawn, with the extensive gravelled driveway, offering parking for numerous vehicles, and the benefit of a double detached garage with twin roller doors, power and light.

Ashbury is a charming village, dating back to at least AD 840 and steeped in history, close to the famous White Horse Hill at Uffington, and part of a wildlife conservation area. It has a public house, the Rose and Crown Hotel (which includes a post office), a Church of England primary school and a village shop with tea room.

The parish church of St Mary was originally Norman but was rebuilt in the 13th century. Here, the first Sunday School in England was founded in 1777 which developed into what became Church Aided Primary School education. Ashbury Mission Hall was a "tin tabernacle" building of corrugated iron opened in 1908. The building was replaced in 1972-73 with the present Ashbury Evangelical Free Church. Ashdown House, built in about 1660 and now run by the National Trust, is about two miles south of the village.

Nearby Shrivenham (c. 4 miles) is one of the larger villages in the Vale and has a number of shops, restaurants, public houses and a doctors’ surgery as well as a primary school and Church of England and Methodist churches.

Ashbury is well located for access to the M4 motorway (c. 7 miles) and Swindon has mainline rail services.
