Lower Drewston Barn is a superb property that lies down a private drive conveniently located for both Chagford and Moretonhampstead. There are two beautifully converted barns both of which benefit from and share over four acres of grounds with superb views across rolling moorland and countryside. It is also important to note that they offer any incoming buyer flexibility for either multigenerational living or as a separate income. Whilst on the same plot each building is not overlooked and has excellent privacy.
The annexe is a wonderful building with superb ceiling height and many beautiful features. It was completed as part of a major refurbishment creating excellent open plan space which is ideal for entertaining. There is a very attractive kitchen breakfast room which leads to an incredibly generous reception room with outstanding ceiling heights. Some of the key features of this room include an impressive fireplace and wood burner and expansive oak beams. There is also one wing of wall to ceiling windows allowing for plenty of light and a great outlook. At this end of the property there are also two bedrooms. There is also a very beautiful master suite befitting a conversion of this scale.
Alongside the annexe is the original barn which is built on the same footprint. This has a more cosy feel with a kitchen and dining room as well as sitting room with a wood burner and again offering great ceiling height. On this floor there is also a separate dining room and party room with views over the rolling countryside beyond. On the upper floor there are three bedrooms including another lovely master suite.
As well as the original buildings the grounds have been cleverly landscaped and include a further paddock and field as well as a pond and further barn which offers excellent storage potential. To the south east of the main house is a gravel terrace and lawned gardens edged along one side by a bank with trees and shrubs and on the others by traditional stone walling. Below is a further field area at the bottom of which is a pond. From the grounds there are stunning views across the surrounding Dartmoor countryside to Castle Drogo, overlooking the wooded River Teign Valley. There is also ample parking for both properties.
Lower Drewston Barn is a small rural settlement about 2 miles from Chagford and Moretonhampstead.
