Property description

***BEACH FRONT *** NO CHAIN***

Salthouse Cottage will make any dream to live by the sea a reality!

A truly unique, utterly mesmerising location precisely on the beach of Port Eynon.

You are quite literally one step away from the paved veranda to the sand, rock pools and sea what a very special place and very rare opportunity.

The beach front location will simply take your breath away, time and time again.

Salthouse Cottage is proud to be the most southerly cottage/dwelling on Gower, and boastful of the glorious blue flag Port Eynon beach on which it resides.

The views are incredible and the fact that you can be paddling in the sea in a matter of seconds is a priceless advantage. You can quickly and easily stroll across to the village of Port Eynon to treat yourself to fish and chips, ice cream or visit one of the shops or pubs.

On the days where you simply want to sit back and enjoy the views, you of course have the ever changing sea, Gower countryside aspect, the ruin of the once working original Salt House, Oyster pools, far away landscapes of the North Devon coast, and, if you are lucky you will be privileged enough to have a visit from the seals just across from the seaside home.

The current owners have thoroughly enjoyed their holidays here with their family and friends for approx 30 years, it is time to move on and allow this spectacular lifestyle to be enjoyed by others.

Let's now explore the property and grounds

...

Approach

The approach to the seaside home is worthy of a paragraph, you can park just the other side of the neighbouring field, walk through this field and along the elevated paved veranda to arrive at the front door. Or, you journey in your 4x4 vehicle down the concrete ramp down onto the beach and ride along the sand/low rocks to arrive directly at the Salthouse Cottage steps. You can even park your boat in the boat hole which is recessed into the sea wall. You then simply ascend the steps directly from the sand up to your paved veranda and front door.

You have two entrances, the front door or the secondary sun room door to the side/rear.

Hallway
You enter the home into the hallway via the stable UPVC front door which can be altered to tilt or open the top half, the door allows you can open the top stable door to hear the ocean penetrate through the home.

Here you have the floor laid with tiles, storage heaters and stairs to the first floor.

Lounge/Dining Room

A very spacious, naturally bright reception room with uninterrupted sea views over Port Eynon bay extending to Horton. This room has ample space to house a 3-piece suite and dining table.

You have a feature wooden fire surround and inset marble hearth with a freestanding electric fire, (please note there is scope to open up the chimney to house a multi-fuel stove burner if so desired).

Sun Room

You have double UPVC doors leading from the lounge/dining room to this sun room.

The sun room is a fantastic addition to the property, which was added approx. 13 years ago with a slate roof ensuring you retain as much internal heat in winter and to detract blazing sun in the summer.

You have fabulous sea and coastal headland views from here, just imagine sitting here on a stormy day, cwtched up under a blanket watching the theatrical waves. Or, having the patio doors open on a pleasant day watching and listening to the beach noise, wildlife and ocean ripples. Bliss!

Kitchen

Placed next to and open to the sun lounge is the kitchen. The floor is laid with tiles and the kitchen is fitted with a range of base and wall units, with work surfaces over, with integrated stainless steel sink and mixer tap. You also have integrated electric oven, electric hob and extractor fan. And you have a very handy storage area (under the stairs which is open to the kitchen and ample big enough to house a free standing fridge/freezer and other typical household items).

Let's now ascend to explore the first floor...
