The Village
The pretty village of Frampton lies about 5 miles North West of the County Town of Dorchester in the picturesque Frome Valley. The River Frome flows through the village from West to East along the meadows dividing the village between Frampton and Southover. The beautiful chalk stream invites much wildlife to the area, including regular sightings of otters and kingfishers. The well equipped village hall hosts many annual events such as the Summer Fete, Flower Show, Tug O' War and amateur dramatic performances, clubs and societies and exercise classes to name but a few. St Mary's Church lies at the centre of the village and hosts regular services and Weddings throughout the year. Frampton is a thriving village with a real community feel at it's heart with residence of all ages including young families as well as retirees balancing the demographic. There is some of the best walking around from the village without the need to get into the car as well as excellent cycle paths being right on the National Cycle Network. Of course the Jurassic Coast and South West Coast Path are in easy striking distance as well. A school bus picks up children who attend one of the middle schools in Dorchester and later to Thomas Hardeye School which has an excellent reputation as one of the best state schools in the country. A main line station to Waterloo runs regular services from Dorchester South with ample car parking. There are several good pubs and restaurants in nearby villages such as Stratton and Cattistock, and there is a handy filling station at the top of the village which stocks basic supplies.

Useful information
The property benefits from mains drainage, oil fired central heating, and mains water. The thatched roof was renewed in the summer of 2017 including the ridge. The property is not a listed building but does fall into a conservation area.
