Why you’ll like it:

This exceptional family home was built during the 1930s on orchard land belonging to the Lourdes Convent School to the rear, which explains why the glorious garden remains abundant with fruit trees. The plot is a fantastic size, and the house sits well back from the road behind a 70-foot front garden and a long driveway. It has a southerly border wall with a neat hedgerow, so it is private too, and the house has the classic architectural features of the period with a wide bow façade, hung tiles and terracotta hipped roof.
