Travelling North on the A68 turn left signposted towards Wark and Birtley. Continue along this road until you reach Ivy Cottage on the left hand side.
Alternatively you can follow a different route travelling North on the A6079 through the village of Barrasford, turning right signposted towards Birtley and continuing along this road until you reach Ivy Cottage on the right hand side.
