Historical note
The well-known playwright and author Enid Bagnold (Lady Jones) is understood to have lived at North End House and is best known for her 1935 book, National Velvet, on which the film, starring Elizabeth Taylor, was based. It is thought that it was the garden at North End House which inspired her play, The Chalk Garden.

North End House lies in the centre of the historic coastal village of Rottingdean overlooking the attractive village green. The village provides an excellent range of shops and facilities for everyday needs including a mini supermarket and a post office.

The vibrant coastal, business and entertainment city of Brighton & Hove is only about 4 miles to the west, providing an extensive range of restaurants, shops and recreational facilities. Brighton mainline station provides a regular train service to London Victoria in approximately 51 minutes. The historic county town of Lewes is some 10 miles to the northeast.
