A few words from the owner
We are only the second owners of this 1950's chalet set atop the dunes. We fell in love with the views over the sea to St. Ives and the character of this little hut.
A little of Silver Mist's history….The previous owner, a Cornishman who we knew, bought the land and built the hut in the 1950's. He sold the hut to us as he was in his 90's and could no longer upkeep this little gem but knew we would respect its history, and restore it accordingly. It is a wooden hut, as can be seen from the original roof inside the property, which has stood the test of time! However the structure and interior was in need of total refurbishment. It was so beautiful, with views from all aspects, but had fallen into disrepair and was in need of love and attention bring it back to its former glory!
We are an architect and interior designer, so it was a wonderful project to work on. We restored Misty over the winter of 2016/17, with love and care. Attention was paid to keeping the hut's original character, but bringing it up to modern day standards, including thermal insulation and double glazing, reinforcing the floors and re-cladding the outside. We added lots of personal touches, practical small space solutions, and made the most of the amazing views by adding a deck.
This dream holiday home has been host to so many wonderful memories, with guests returning to its charms every year. There is nothing as wonderful as sitting on the deck watching the sunset with a glass of wine in hand!
We would love to pass Misty on to someone who will cherish this chalet as much as we have over last few years. It really is a special place to escape.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
