Why buy this home?

As you drive through Caldecotte you immediately notice how luxurious the area is with the Georgian style town houses and close by is the boating club where you can do anything from sailing, canoeing & paddle boarding. This is a place where you see dog walkers, runners and people taking advantage of the beautiful settings around the lake. It even has its own pub and hotel within walking distance.

As you enter the door your eyes are immediately drawn to lake views, which can be seen through the double doors in the kitchen, you cannot help but watch the rowers go past. There is something about being next to the water which makes it a tranquil environment. All of the ground floor accommodation is accessed from the entrance hall which is large enough to have a sideboard, a loveseat and a large mirror to provide one last glance at yourself before you leave the house.

The kitchen/day room is the heart of this home! The main feature is the island, where it has a ceramic hob, a glass topped breakfast bar finished with a granite worktop which is throughout the rest of the kitchen. There is ample storage not only in the island but also in the rest of the kitchen including a large larder cupboard. The integrated appliances include a fridge freezer, washing machine also NEFF oven, microwave and dishwasher. The floor has been laid with Porcelanosa tiles which makes it easier to clean up those spills. The space in the kitchen allows for a table which can seat up to eight people, ideal for when the kids come home from school and you can watch them do their homework whilst cooking. For more informal gatherings you could add bar stools to the island and there is space to add a sofa and a TV cementing this room as the social hub of the property. There are French doors that open onto the balcony bringing the outside in. The patio is on split levels, big enough to fit a six seater table and chairs making it the perfect spot for entertaining friends and family. There is also direct access to the lake.

Throughout the property there are both chrome sockets and light switches, all doors are an oak finish and the skirting boards, door frames and balustrades are solid American white oak. No expense has been spared!

The dining room is at the front of the house and is large enough to fit a twelve seater table and sideboard, this could easily be turned into a home office/snug area if you so wish. To finish off the ground floor there is a WC, with a vanity unit, it is partially tiled and has a heated towel rail.

On the first floor there are two reception rooms, they are both a fantastic size. The family room is overlooking the lake and is big enough to fit a corner sofa, furniture and TV. There are two double doors that open onto the balcony, bringing in a cool breeze in from the lake on those warm summer evenings. It makes a lovely space to sit and read a book or watch the world go by.
The second reception room is the drawing room which is at the front of the house, it has a Juliet balcony. The current owners use this as a playroom for the children, making it an ideal place to store the toys and you can close the door to hide the mess! As townhouses go they provide flexible living and this room could be turned into another bedroom or a space to entertain friends!

On the second floor are 3 bedrooms. The second bedroom overlooks the lake, it is big enough to fit a king size bed, bedside tables and you still have plenty of room to add wardrobes. There is an alcove which would make a great dressing area as you could comfortably fit a dressing table and mirror. This room benefits from having an ensuite which has a white three piece suite including a double shower, it is partially tiled and fitted with a heated towel rail. Bedrooms 3 & 4 are at the front of the house and are both double bedrooms. They can be used as children's bedrooms, an office or you can turn one into a dressing room if you so wish. Both bedrooms are serviced by the family bathroom, this has a white three piece suite, which this one has a bath, is partially tiled and also has a heated towel rail.

The top floor is the master bedroom with an ensuite. This spectacular room leads out onto a roof terrace with amazing views of the lake and across Milton Keynes. It is definitely a place where you can wake up in the morning and watch the sunrise whilst having your morning coffee. Due to its shape and size you can layout the room in different ways and you can still see the view of the lake wherever your bed is positioned. The room could also be used as a home gym if you do not want to use it as the master bedroom or gaming room for children. It has a very large ensuite with white three piece suite, a double walk-in shower and a heated towel rail.

The roof terrace is big enough to hold a table and chairs or sun loungers. If you are clever enough you would have a kettle and mini fridge in this room so you don’t have to go to the kitchen and you can make yourself a drink and relax. You can also see the Escape building, Hotel La Tour and one of the many luxuries is that you can watch the Milton Keynes fireworks that are displayed in Campbell Park from your own home.

At the front of the house is the gated underground parking which you access via a key fob. The property has allocated spaces for two cars and additional residents parking outside the front of the house. In the parking area below is a storage room, used to store the bigger items that you don’t need in the house, plus you could have an additional freezer if need be as there is power in there!
