The vines are a Pinot Gris variety grape from the Alsace sub group. A specialist vine grower from Dorset was consulted on the grape variety and planting scheme. Planted in 2008 the vines have been carefully maintained and cared for.

Hannington is a small parish located just 2 miles west of the market town of Highworth.
Hannington is well connected for transport with quick access to the A419, A420 and M4. The village is also well served with a parish church and two public houses, The Jolly Tar and the Freke Arms just a short distance from the village centre.
The village has a very well established livery yard with extensive network of bridleways around the local area. There are also a number of footpaths surrounding Hannington giving good access to the surrounding countryside.
