An absolutely stunning slice of Mid-Wales history! Nantyrhaidd is a wonderful traditional farmstead with 55.55 acres, sat in a glorious position in the rolling hills of Powys, with panoramic views to all aspects, and offering complete privacy and tranquillity - a perfect change of lifestyle opportunity!

On the northern fringes of Nant Glas, a private entrance opens up to a well-maintained track leading only to this impressive smallholding. The track winds up past a large field to the front of the property, and gated access opens up to a hardstanding yard which offers parking for the property and access into the barns.

THE COTTAGE

Lovingly and painstakingly restored over the current owner's tenure, this classic Welsh farmhouse comprises an impressive L-shaped reception room, with large Inglenook fireplace complemented by a woodburning stove inset, measuring 7.47 x 5.07m, and enjoying views over the front garden, and understairs storage. A door from here leads into the family bathroom with roll-top bath, low flush WC and pedestal wash hand basin. A further door from the reception room leads to the 4.57 x 1.79m kitchen, with recess perfect for a fridge freezer, and bespoke kitchen fittings. There is a window overlooking the side garden and a door back to the parking area.

On the first floor, there are two bedrooms, measuring 2.72 x 2.42m and 2.75 x 2.56m and a impressive 5.01 x 3.47m landing area, perfect for conversion to additional accommodation, should this be required. The views from the first floor in particular are simply breath-taking and unspoiled! The loft is also accessed from the landing which has a wooden floor and provides plenty of storage space.

Nantyrhaidd enjoys a private walled garden surrounding the property to the front and side, which was laid out to fruit and vegetable beds, with a path winding through down to the brook that runs down through the land. There is also a path from the front of the house leading down the front garden, with gate into one of the front fields.

OUTBUILDINGS

An L-shaped barn which has been used as a workshop and storage in recent years, but prior to that, have been utilised as stables, pig and sheep pens, and the original walls of the pig pens are still intact outside the walls of the barns. The main enclosure of the barn measures 12.94 x 8.87m (max. measurements) and was re-roofed and had rooflights installed over the past 30 years. The barns could be further restored to be put back to their former uses, with original floors and separations still being intact.

LAND

Nantyrhaidd enjoys the aforementioned garden surrounding the property, as well as a private arboretum, The cottage itself sits roughly to the north west of the land on offer, which surrounds the property, and is bordered by some wonderful stone walls and double fenced hedges, and has been grazed by a local farmer's stock over recent years. The land is gently undulating, and is perfect for grazing.

This really is the whole package! A charming two bedroom cottage, with private well and domestic septic tank located in the fields adjacent to it.
