In the opposite direction the town of Launceston lies about the same distance away, with shopping amenities and provides access onto the A30 trunk road leading to Exeter, the M5 and beyond. The cities of Plymouth, which has an international ferry port, and Exeter which has international airport, lie just over an hour's drive away.
From Bude, proceed on the A3072 until reaching Red Post turn right on the B3254 and head into the village of Whitstone the sites will be found on Balsdon Road just past the general stores/post office.
