Lynton is a small town on the Exmoor coast standing on top of the cliffs above the picturesque harbour village of Lynmouth. Two villages on the coast, one above the other, Lynton and Lynmouth were known by the Victorians as Little Switzerland. Lynton is an attractive village with a museum and good range of restaurants, cafes, tea shops and 'art/craft' shops. The town hall, also home to the visitors centre, hosts dramas and exhibitions and positioned next door to an Art and Craft centre and the village cinema. There are many hotels and guest houses in Lynton and Lynmouth. Down in Lynmouth, the two rivers, The East and West Lyn, join. The East Lyn runs to Watersmeet and the West Lyn runs South through Barbrook. Watersmeet boasts a National Trust tea room and the walk from Lynmouth to Watersmeet is very popular. The Valley of the Rocks, a short walk from Lynton, is another area worth visiting with breathtaking scenery and flocks of wild goats. Lynton and Lynmouth sit roughly half way along the coastal path between Ilfracombe and Minehead. Both Ilfracombe and Minehead provide a full range of amenities to include secondary schools and larger supermarkets. Barnstaple is approximately 30 minutes by car whilst Taunton is 25 miles from Lynton and gives direct access onto Junction 25 of the M5 motorway. Taunton station provides direct rail access to London. Beaches can be found at Combe Martin, 12.8 miles, Porlock Weir, 11 miles, and Woolacombe, 20 miles, which is very popular amongst surfers. Lynmouth itself also provides a traditional seaside setting with a beach and putting green.
Directions
From our Ilfracombe office with the shop premises on your left hand side proceed out of town in a westerly direction in the direction of Barnstaple. On reaching Mullacott Cross roundabout take the third exit. Continue to follow this road and continue straight over at the crossroads. Continue on this road for approximately 3 miles and after passing the sharp left hand bend signposted Blackmoor Gate junction turn right. Take the next left signposted Lynton/Lynmouth. Continue along this road and on entering Barbrook take the left turning opposite the garage to Lynton. Follow this road into the village where Imperial Court can be found adjacent to Polly Skye Art Gallery with a name plaque clearly displayed.

Broadband availability and predicted speed
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area
