Property description

Beautifully presented two bedroom cottage with parking.

Description

This pretty period cottage boasts a desirable village location, positioned only a short walk from local amenities and with glorious countryside views on your doorstep.

The generous accommodation is beautifully presented, with an abundance of period features throughout. On the ground floor, the sitting room features a log burner, while the open-plan kitchen/dining room - located at the back of the house – provides a wonderful space to entertain. The bathroom is also located on the ground floor, and is modern and bright.

Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms.

Outside, the property has a very pretty rear garden, which includes a good size lawn and multiple seating areas. A highlight of the garden is the spectacular home office, which has been cleverly designed as a multifunctional space and has its own shower and wc, allowing it to be set up as separate guest accommodation or independent living space if required. The garden also has a large shed.

To the front of the property, there is off street parking.

Location

This historic, pretty village is situated in the county of Buckinghamshire, approximately 6 miles north-west of Tring.

Much of the core village architecture is ‘Tudor Revival' in style, erected by the Rothschild family in the 19th century as homes for employees of their Mentmore Estate. Many of these properties still display the cypher 'H de R', in recognition of Hannah de Rothschild, along with the year of construction. They remained part of the Mentmore Estate until well into the 20th century, but today are all privately owned.

Communication links nearby include the A41, A5, and M1. There are mainline train stations in Tring and Leighton Buzzard (London Euston in approx. 35 and 40 mins respectively), and Aylesbury (London Marylebone in around 55 mins).

The village plays host to many community activities and, for walkers and ramblers, some of the finest countryside is to be found on the doorstep. Nearby towns offer a comprehensive range of shopping and recreational facilities, from the boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops in the market towns of Tring and Leighton Buzzard, to the department stores, leisure centres, theatres and multi-screen cinemas of Aylesbury and Milton Keynes.

Schooling is excellent, with Wingrave C-of-E Combined School, Cottesloe School in nearby Wing, and Grammar Schools in Aylesbury.

For more than 20 years, we've been selling and letting some of the most beautiful property in and around Tring and Berkhamsted. From town centre cottages to large family houses, and from rural smallholdings to impressive country homes, we've built our reputation on exemplary service and a proven track record. SEASONED PROPERTY PROFESSIONALS Surround yourself with the expertise of our mature, approachable and intelligent team. Our knowledge of the local property market is second to none while our commitment to exceptional customer care has won us a national award. We work hard from beginning to end with regular contact, useful advice and constructive feedback. A PREMIUM SERVICE IN EVERY WAY Evoking an air of prestige around every property we represent, we use leading industry specialists for professional photography, skilfully drawn floor plans and luxurious colour brochures.  In order to attract the highest quality interest, the ultimate care and attention is paid in presenting your home in sophisticated fashion: a practice that won us a top marketing accolade at the UK Property Awards.   ONLINE AND OPTIMISED, EVERYWHERE The vast majority of people now conduct their property search while on the go, so we've developed our website with a fully responsive design that looks equally good on smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers. Wherever a buyer may be, they'll be viewing your property through an optimised user-friendly experience, whether on our own website, OnTheMarket.com, or one of the various other national portals we utilise. PRIME LOCATIONS While the Internet and property portals have transformed property marketing, an alluring window display right in the town centre is an essential asset in developing local publicity, particularly in popular towns such as Berkhamsted and Tring. Our offices are located in the best, highly visible High Street locations, perfect for attracting valuable attention from the many hundreds of prospective buyers who pass by every week. HIGHLY EFFECTIVE INDEPENDENT AGENTS Our marketing, locations and experience are best in class, but it's ultimately results that carry the greatest weight: you want to know that your move is going to happen and that your estate agent will take the lead. In that regard we've consistently proved that nothing is more powerful than a high performance independent estate agent, and our success rate is the highest in the neighbourhood. AN OPEN INVITATION Wherever you might be going and whatever stage you are at, we'd love to talk to you about your moving plans. Just telephone us, visit us at nashpartnership.co.uk, or call in to one of our branches.  From everyone at Nash Partnership, we look forward to meeting you soon.
