The woodland comprises an area of steep bank and semi-mature mixed broadleaved trees located just to south west of the village of Redpath and to the east of the Leader Water. The woodland extends to approximately 0.73 Ha (1.8 Acres) in total and is bound on the west by the Leaderfoot Walk and to the south by the minor public road.
