We had been living in Charlton for a few years already and love the area.
We were excited about the location and easy access to the train station for quick journeys into London or out towards Kent. Being close to local shops and the open feel of the outside space were added bonuses.
We've had a few picnics in the grounds just behind the flat, making use of the privacy provided and feeling like we had our own outdoor space. It's also great to have off street parking which is even better now that it's secured with a boom.
The flat itself felt spacious and welcoming and we improved the bathroom and kitchen to finish off that homely feel.
This flat has been home to us and two other families who rented it from us, creating many happy memories along the way. We replaced the windows, gave it numerous paint jobs over the years and updated the flooring more recently. We invested in extending the leasehold which removes the cost of annual ground rent charges and gives peace of mind knowing we have over 150 years on the lease.
We felt proud to come home to a lovely, calming space and even more so when we were able to provide that to families that rented it from us. We've put our last labour of love into getting it ready for new owners to take the reins and experience the excitement of owning a first home."
