    MD Properties was established in 1992 when at that time joint owners Robert & Diane Macfarlane set out initially to be landlords progressing to Letting Agents. A number of properties were bought in the West Midland area and within a few months having spotted a gap in the market MD Properties letting agency was established. At that time, says Robert, I recall only two other agents in town and MD properties were the first to have a web site! To be fair at that time although rental demand was good, buy to let was largely unheard off. Most lenders did not offer loans on rental properties at that time. Those that did, including my own bank, required a 30% deposit. So it was tough in those days but to a degree competition free. Coupled with the property crash, at that time, prices were low and with my contacts, some of which I still do business with today, ther were plenty of bargains were available. MD Properties have been at their current town centre location since 2001 having in 2006 increased office space by buying out Ingram & co in Church lane. A total refurbishment of the office took place recently  creating more much needed space. Our current team consists of Managing Director Izabela, Director Robert, Office Manager Nicola, Lettings Negotiators Tom, Lucy and Claire.  Dennis and Gary are our viewers/ Inspectors . Our maintenance team is Zoe, Rosa, Steve, Simon and Ian who work on customers and MD Properties owned properties. We have, of course, back up from gas and electrical contractors. Robert for ten years was Chairman of Sandwell landlords association and also advised on their housing policy and regeneration schemes. He was one of the founder members of the MLA (Midlands Landlords Association) which has now become part of the NLA (National Landlords Association) of which he is a member.
