4 Maol Bhuie presents as being an ideal permanent home for a local family, though it could easily be a most useful holiday home particularly as the garden is small with negligible maintenance required.  Properties of this type in this location rarely come to the market and early viewing is strongly recommended.  

Islay itself, the Queen of the Hebrides, is a perfect haven for whiskey lovers, bird watchers, cyclists, anglers, golfers and walkers.  The nearby village of Port Ellen, with ferry terminal, has all necessary local amenities including primary school.  Secondary schooling is provided at Bowmore, about 14 miles away.  Ardbeg is served by an excellent local bus service.

To the side of the house, a large and substantial wooden shed/ workshop (approx. 30 feet x 12 feet), with light power and water connected provides good storage.  The remaining garden area, leading down to the main door of the house, is set below the adjacent public road.  It contains 6 raised beds.  Parking is available on-road.
