Could Bryn Eglwys be the hotel with Wales’ best view? Well, we’ll leave that for you to decide, but there’s no denying its fabulous position! With 12 guest rooms all with modern en-suite facilities, owners accommodation, dining room, commercial kitchen and characterful beamed lounge with bar.

Bryn Eglwys is a country hotel tucked away on the eastern edge of this popular village, a well-trodden tourist destination nestled in the heart of Snowdonia, excellently placed for those exploring the National Park, being located strategically where three roads converge, giving access to all corners of North Wales, such as the coastline at Caernarfon/Porthmadog through to Snowdon, Betws Y Coed and further afield.

The hotel offers 12 guest rooms all with modern en-suite facilities. There’s a sizeable guest dining room and commercial kitchen whilst the older section has a characterful beamed lounge and bar; a reception area with modern, Ladies & Gents; private owners’ accommodation and 4 additional rooms for hotel workers.

Bryn Eglwys enjoys a slightly elevated position with a fine westerly aspect overlooking the wooded river valley that Beddgelert sits in, with dramatic views towards the majestic peak of Moel Hebog which dominates the surrounding landscape. The sun terrace to the front is something guests definitely enjoy after their day’s exertions, savouring a long, cold glass of beer while they enjoy the afternoon sun. The well-stocked landscaped gardens located to the rear include woodland which rises steeply up the mountainside, providing a superb natural haven for wildlife and birdlife alike.

Beddgelert is a picturesque village nestled right in the heart of Snowdonia offering opportunities for many recreational pursuits such as walking, cycling, or mountain climbing amongst other things. The village has a convenience store, local restaurants and pubs, craft shops and primary school.

Bryn Eglwys Hotel is located just a short distance to the east of Beddgelert with the scenic Llyn Dinas Lake a little further beyond leading through to the popular Nant Gwynant Valley. The village of Beddgelert is ideally placed with local amenities to include a village store, several pubs/restaurants, gift shops and a primary school. The larger settlements of Betws-y-Coed, Porthmadog and Caernarfon are all within about half an hour's drive, so you’re never too far from essential goods, services and recreational facilities.

This is undoubtedly a beautiful location which really fires the imagination, Aberglaslyn Pass and the nearby lakes of Gwynant and Dinas proving irresistible for artists and photographers as well as walkers and fishermen. Beddgelert is always bustling with visitors, many of whom take a break from travelling on the Welsh Highland Railway between Caernarfon and Porthmadog. North Wales offers countless tourist attractions and facilities: two hugely entertaining zip wire rides, an underground trampoline park, a surf park, numerous events (cycling, running etc.), mountain bike courses, excellent climbing facilities not to mention the castles and historic monuments dotted throughout North Wales. Snowdon itself is only 4 miles to the north of the village and attracts hundreds of thousands of walkers a year, and film crews often frequent the area to take advantage of the exceptional landscape.

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
