210 Broughty Ferry Road in Dundee is a most attractive single storey house, which faces south and has views across the river to Fife and the Tay Road Bridge. The house dates from 1837, which is at the very end of the Georgian period and the start of the Victorian era. It was extended the following year by the addition of the two wings. When it was built, it was right at the edge of Dundee and was one of a group of seven constructed at that time. It is a pretty stone built house, with a slate roof. It was acquired by the sellers in 2013. Since then they have undertaken significant works. These have included triple glazing and installing underfloor heating throughout except in the shower rooms. In addition, wood flooring has been fitted in all the rooms other than the shower rooms and kitchen, and the en suite has been refurbished. The roof and walls were also insulated and 16 photo voltaic panels mounted on the roof. Beyond are bedrooms two and three with bedroom two looking out on to the garden to the rear. To the side of the house is a studio.
In front is a stone paved terrace, with the enclosed garden below being mainly lawn with shrub borders and a fine beech tree. The garden behind the house is also completely enclosed. Opposite the kitchen door is a useful stone built range of outbuildings comprising a tool shed, store and a shelved larder, all with stone flagged floors. The garden itself is attractively laid out with lawns, stone features, shrubs, paths and seating areas. The harled garage has a roller door on to Murray Street, concrete floor, water, power and light, and is vented for a dryer. Attached is a covered entrance, also with a door on to Murray Street, which is also used as a garden store.

From Dundee City Centre take the A92 signposted for Arbroath, on to Dock Street and East Dock Street. Just after it is joined by Broughty Ferry Road, the house will be seen on the left, just after the blocked off turning into Murray Street and opposite Carolina Court. Proceed past the house and turn left on to Dalgleish Road, and then turn left again on to Murray Street. The gate and garage for 210 Broughty Ferry Road will be seen on the left, marked 210BFR, and before reaching Mayfield Grove.
If coming from the eastern end of the Kingsway (A90 / A972 ring road around Dundee), at the roundabout with Arbroath Road, take the Greendyke Road, signposted for City Centre and Tay Bridge. Proceed down to the bottom and turn right, again signposted City Centre and Tay Bridge, onto Broughty Ferry Road (A92). Then take the first right on to Dalgleish Road and proceed as above.
