The house was originally built in the late 1800's to accommodate various very important people who attended the Royal Naval College in Greenwich. It's been said that 'The Limes Cottage' was graced by royalty when the Prince of Thailand may have resided in there during the 1890’s while studying at the Royal Naval College to later become "The Father of our Thai Navy."
The cottage is set back from the road and sits behind the original brick walls making it extremely private and secluded. The accommodation is arranged over two floors and the property retains much of its original character and features, including its fireplaces and stained glass windows, and has a secluded wrap around garden which benefits from the sun all day long.
To the ground floor there is a grand dual aspect reception room measuring 18ft by 16ft with great high ceilings, original working fireplace (gas), making this the most perfect living and entertaining space. Still on the ground floor you will find the fitted kitchen as well as a bedroom which could be used as a home office if chosen to.
Upstairs to the first floor there is a large dual aspect master bedroom just above the reception room again with extremely high ceilings and original fireplace, another bedroom and a three-piece bathroom. There is also a large landing space at the end of the staircase which would make the perfect reading spot with a lovely armchair or study area. Further benefits include residents permit parking.
Crooms Hill is one of the oldest and most sought after roads in London and runs down from the Heath into Greenwich town centre. It is extremely well placed and is arguably one of the best positions in the south east of London. You can even travel to the centre of London (City, Tate Modern, the Embankment) by Uber Boat (by Thames Clippers) from the Greenwich Pier. Another attractive transportation link nearby is the Emirate's Airline Cable Car.
Your next home is situated just across to the majestic Greenwich Royal Park. Attractions nearby include the world-famous Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark, Maritime Museum, Queens House, Greenwich Market, Royal Naval College, Eltham Palace and O2. It is nearly upon the historic Greenwich Meridian Line. Fascinating events can be observed in the Royal Park, including the start of the London Marathon, Yearly Tall Ships parade, annual classic car rallies, and on one occasion the preliminary stages of the Tour de France and the 2012 Olympic games (Equestrian games).
This house is a wonderful base for enjoying the rich cultural and academic institutions situated nearby (Blackheath Halls, Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Deptford Theatre, University of Greenwich) or just enjoy the myriad of eating, cinema and sporting opportunities nearby, which are all within walking distance whether at trendy Greenwich or elegant Blackheath. Enjoy wonderful walks and safe cycling next to this historic river. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
Myriads of historical figures, writers, and artists were born or lived nearby, from King Henry VIII (Tudor) to Cecil Day-Lewis, General James Wolfe, and the author Edith Nesbit. This tradition continues to the present day.

Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
