The Royal and Ancient burgh of Selkirk is a historic market town in the Central Borders and is beautifully situated on the banks of the historic Ettrick Water. There is a good range of local amenities, with several hotels and pubs, with the thriving town of Galashiels nearby offering a wider range. Directions
From the A7 take the turn off marked Synton. Proceed to Synton Parkhead Farm. At the farm take the road marked Synton House. Follow the road and at the fork keep right. Pass a stables on your right and the large house on your left. Follow the road round a sharp left hand bend passing Synton Barn Cottage on your right. Proceed along the road which starts to incline. You will now see Synton Dovecote on the right. Carry on up to a gate and sharp right hand bend. You have now arrived at the driveway.
